Brands and generics both contain the same active ingredient(s) and are medically equivalent. Some brands are marketed under different names by the same manufacturer depending on the country of origin. Images are provided as a reference only, the received medicine may vary in packaging, color, pill shape, etc, from one batch to the next. For an item marked "generic" any quality brand may be sent, however you will always receive the active ingredients ordered in the strength(s) ordered.
Crystaderm Cream (hydrogen peroxide) is a potent alternative to first aid creams containing antibiotics. It is effective at both treating and preventing bacterial infection, and, unlike antibiotic creams, provides additional protection against some viral and fungal infections.
People commonly buy Crystaderm Cream to treat:
Hydrogen peroxide, the active ingredient in Crystaderm Cream, rapidly kills microorganisms sensitive to oxygen, including a wide range of bacteria as well as some strains of viruses and fungi.
In most areas patients can buy Crystaderm Cream without a prescription.
Benefits of Crystaderm Cream
Crystaderm Cream provides several benefits over similar products which contain antibiotics:
Because it is contained within a cream, the traditional negative effects of hydrogen peroxide---dry, irritated skin---are no longer a concern. This means patients can buy Crystaderm Cream to treat the face and other highly visible areas without fear of flaking, peeling or otherwise unsightly skin.
Other benefits of the cream versus similar products:
Most importantly, Crystaderm Cream works---it offers lasting protection in an easy-to-apply cream that won't blemish the skin.
Using Crystaderm Cream
Patients who buy Crystaderm Cream to prevent infection on cuts, scrapes, mild burns and so forth can use the product like any other first aid cream; clean and dry the wound and apply a layer of cream. The application site can be covered with a dressing if desired, or left exposed. If exposed, cream may need to be applied 2 to 3 times per day; covered wounds may only need 1 application per day. Treatment may continue for up to 3 weeks; if the wound is not significantly healed, or there are signs of infection, a doctor should be consulted.
Those using Crystaderm Cream to treat an existing infection, such as impetigo, should follow doctor instructions if available. It is not unusual for multiple medications to be prescribed to treat an infection, or for specific instructions, such as leaving the area uncovered, to be given. Barring doctor instruction, use should be similar to that of infection prevention. Treatment may be extended beyond 3 weeks if there are significant improvements in an infection but it has not quite been eliminated.
How Not to Use Crystaderm Cream
For the most part Crystaderm Cream is a very safe treatment. There are, however, a few things to be avoided:
Some patients experience a mild burning sensation when the cream is applied, usually less severe than that experienced with alcohol. This is not cause for concern unless severe or persistent.

I'm allergic to Neosporin. I develop what looks like a severe infection when I use it. Crystaderm/ crystacide works extremely well on minor skin scrapes and cuts as well as cat scratches. I'll never u...se anything else again unless it is a badly infected large wound. Even here I'd try crystaderm first but haven't had any experience with large wounds.
